Chemist's Day was organized by Moscow State University students in 1966, and at their suggestion every year the holiday is dedicated to one of the elements of the periodic system. In the first year it was hydrogen, and in 2025 – it's neodymium, the 60th element of Mendeleev's table. In addition to that, of course, we also thank the talented chemists, without whose labor our everyday life as we know it would not be possible. From automobile oils to chemical-pharmaceutical products – much of our lives depends on the chemical industry.
We congratulate chemists on their professional holiday and wish them successful experiments, sudden insights and success in all endeavors!
